Shop Profile: Park Place Bodywerks

Hero Background Image

Park Place Bodywerks has been in operation for over 30 years, growing into one of the largest operations in the country specializing in luxury repairs.  They are a 100% non-DRP shop but receive assignments from insurance carriers through CCC Open Shop to fill their 171 working bays spread over 110,000 square feet. In a space that large, Park Place has set the expectation that ADAS calibrations, along with pre- and post-repair scans will be performed on nearly every one of the 550 vehicles that come through their doors each month. Like many repairers, Park Place has come to rely more on technology recently.  "Over the last couple of years, we have adopted photo estimating tools to help us navigate through the pandemic," said Brandon Gillespy, Park Place's Body Shop Manager. They also point to CCC's Estimate Share feature as a tool that has helped them write more complete estimates and avoid delays that come from supplements. Award-Winning Staff At the recent Auto Body Association of Texas (ABAT) Trade Show, the Park Place Bodywerks team went TWO-for-TWO in the Big Shots estimating contests put on by the trade organization. Brian Buczynski wrote the winning estimate to replace a right quarter panel on a 2019 Toyota Camry, as judged by Mike Anderson of Collision Advice.  Brian has received a Master Certification from Mercedes-Benz and has been with Park Place since 2015.  Gillespy cites Brian's "vast knowledge, technical skillset, and continuous pursuit of education" as the key factors in his success. Not to be outdone, Davis Richards wrote the winning Quick Estimate to replace the front bumper on a 2019 Toyota Rav-4. The Quick Estimate competition was judged by AASP-NJ President Jerry McNee and entries were scored on how accurately they captured operations and ADAS calibrations based on specific vehicle options.  Richards, whose father Burl owns two shops in Henderson, TX, graduated from Texas A&M University and focuses on repairing vehicles per OEM specifications and delivering extraordinary experiences for Park Place's customers. Congrats to Brian and Davis, and the team at Park Place Bodywerks on all of your well-earned success!
