Volkswagen is delivering driver-first experiences with CCC VIN Connect

Today, Volkswagen Car-Net® named CCC the exclusive provider of insurance telematics services for the automaker’s connected vehicle platform, VW Car-Net.

The CCC X data exchange, upon driver consent, will turn VW Car-Net driving data into action delivering personalized experiences through DriveView™, a new feature for Volkswagen Car-Net subscribers. By enrolling in DriveView, VW subscribers may be eligible for discounted rates from some of the top automotive insurance companies in the country via CCC® VIN Connect. This newly released solution applies driving behavior data at the point-of-quote, making it fast and easy for eligible consumers to connect with potential insurance discounts.

CCC® VIN Connect delivers driver-first experiences
CCC VIN Connect helps underwriters make accurate, personalized policy decisions at the point-of-quote. Collected virtually, VIN Connect delivers near real-time driving behavior and connected car data without dongles or add-on technology.

Upon customer consent, insurance carriers can access historic and real-time driving data including driving patterns, driving events and other details, such as frequency of driving, miles driven, and more. VIN Connect standardizes vehicle data and provides data structure so insurers can apply proprietary scoring methods, providing a comprehensive, high-quality telematics data set for underwriting.

As new and existing policyholders continue to demand more personalized pricing and customized offers, VIN Connect will help insurance carriers deliver on this expectation.
