Maria Quintero, Co-Owner of Body Builders Automotive

In honor of Women's History Month, CCC wanted to sit down with one of the many inspiring female shop owners in our industry.

Maria Quintero, co-owner of Body Builders Automotive in Rolling Meadows, IL, has held nearly every job in a collision repair shop. Since her career began in 1998, she’s covered roles as a CSR, Claims Representative, Parts Coordinator, Estimator, Bookkeeper, Office Manager, Human Resources, and Chief Operating Officer.

In 2019 she began consulting with other shops in the Chicagoland area to help her peers better understand the financial and bookkeeping aspects of running a business. She also serves as a coach with industry consulting group, Collision Advice.

Maria became the co-owner of Body Builders Automotive in 2021, bringing her career full circle to the shop that first introduced her to collision repair.

Through her work with shops, as well as the management of her own teams, Maria uses the “soft skills” she’s learned to create a strong culture, unique customer experience, and a market niche in the luxury and super-exotic space. Whenever faced with a challenge, she always responds: "Just go ask."
